Sustainability
built to last
Built to last, on purpose
The single most sustainable thing a shoe brand can do is build a shoe you keep wearing, not one that ends up in a landfill at the end of the season. That’s the kind of brand we are. We build shoes meant to last several seasons of regular wear with designs that stick around. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
We build shoes that last
Steffie’s are engineered to outlast their category. The rubber outsole is durable, the leather lining breathes and stays clean, and the RoamFoam™ midsole holds its rebound for years rather than months. All of that adds up to quality that lasts and a pair you can count on.
We keep a tight line
We carry a small line of a few core silhouettes, refreshed in seasonal colorways rather than reinvented each season. We don’t chase the fast-fashion churn. We choose new colorways based on what we hear from you, and we add a style only when we’ve filled a real need.
We care for what we make
A few minutes of care a month, with proper storage, is the difference between a pair that lasts two years and one that lasts five. Our care guide covers all of it.
The Biodiversity Collection
Between 2022 and 2024, we ran a five-style Biodiversity Collection that donated 10% of proceeds to wildlife and conservation partners: the North American Butterfly Association, the Houston Zoo, the World Wildlife Fund, and Toucan Rescue Ranch. The collection has since been retired, but those partnerships set the tone for how we want to do this work: small, real, and named.
What you can do
Wear them, care for them, and tell us if something doesn’t hold up. We genuinely want to know.
